CNMRG (Computer and New Music Research Group) – community of composers, musicians, sound- and media-artists, who use in the creative work modern interactive computer sound- and media-systems for making experimental electro-acoustical music and multimedia. The Group works out and creates software-based, electronic systems and instruments for its own projects. CNMRG started their activity in 2003 and until 2007 worked on basis of St. Petersburg Foundation of Art and Culture PRO ARTE Institute (Russia), members of CNMRG studied the course “New musical technologies” and collaborate in concerts. Since 2007 year CNMRG has been being a self-dependent project. CNMRG artists use in their creative work new computer technologies such as MAX/MSP, PureData, Kalypso e.t.c.
Nowadays CNMRG is group of 7 artists: Yuri Didevich (St. Petersburg, Russia), Dimity Dubov
(St. Petersburg, Russia), Dimity Letachovsky (St. Petersburg, Russia), Stanislaw Mensulsky (Odessa, Ukraine), Dimitry Subochev (Moscaw, Russia), Sergey Chirkov (St. Petersburg, Russia) and a group-manager: Irina Prygicheva (St. Petersburg, Russia).
CNMRG is an open project without borders. Every media-artists or composer or musician, who works with contemporary computer technologies, can be a member of this group and take part in combined Network-projects.
